confetti of heaven

“God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.”

-Romans 4:17

In this world, our society celebrates for many reasons— birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, holidays, etc. Behind each balloon, shout, or candle, there is something that has taken place in the natural to compel us. We celebrate what we see, what we have evidence of, and what we might consider “milestones” having been achieved. We celebrate the proof of “moving in the right direction”. God is an even bigger party animal, except His reasons for celebration are not contingent upon performance or the current natural state of things. The Father speaks to things that are NOT, as though they ARE with all of heaven delighting in the BETTER WORD of Jesus over every circumstance (Hebrews 12:24, Romans 4:17). Jesus Christ is a King that eternally rules from a place of wholeness, victory, and redemption. Therefore, the very atmosphere of His Kingdom is one of continual celebration. Jesus lived from His Father’s lens and the atmosphere of heaven that says: The Father’s will of Light is more real than the darkness I see in front of me.

When Jesus arrived at the official’s home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music. “Get out!” he told them. “The girl isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him. After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up!

-Matthew 9:23-25

As children of God, if we are called to be led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14) and to desire the invasion of the Kingdom of Heaven here on this earth (Matthew 6:10), then we need to be living in the reality of what the FATHER is SPEAKING over every circumstance. His desires must be the truth from which we navigate.

A heavenly minded person chooses to celebrate what God SAID before it happens in the natural. To celebrate God’s word is to be in unity with His Spirit!

When this happens, we don’t just live for a party someday, but we live from joyful victory in what God will do because of who He is. Jesus Christ paid it all for us to be free and live in the reality of His goodness! Will our lives come into alignment with the victory of Light over darkness, Life over death, and Jesus over the enemy even when we have yet to see it? Refocusing your mind and heart on Jesus’ finished work in every situation will change the atmosphere of your life and your home. As children of God, we will move from hopeless striving to restful rejoicing because our confidence is in HIM. Our declarative celebration aligning with the will of God activates a party in the spirit realm bringing supernatural breakthrough! Will we be sons and daughters that wholeheartedly BELIEVE even when we do not immediately SEE?

“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”

-2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (ESV)
